Summary
the pitchJoin NUVIA UK as an Environmental Manager, where you will play a crucial role in delivering innovative and strategically important programmes in the nuclear, defence, and energy sectors. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Environment Case, defining and communicating environmental and sustainability strategies, and integrating design for the environment. This position offers a hybrid work model with a minimum of three days per week on-site presence.

- The service provider shall demonstrate extensive experience delivering environmental engineering activities within large, complex programmes.
- Expert knowledge of environmental legislation and standards.
- Proven application of BAT and ENVID methodologies.
- The capability to operate effectively within a multi-disciplinary, high-hazard engineering environment.
- Experience in emergent or first-of-a-kind design environments would be particularly valuable.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development and maintenance of the Environment Case, ensuring alignment with the STEP design and Safety Case.
- Define and communicate environmental and sustainability strategies for plant design, integrating design for environment through assessments and workshops.
- Assess environmental risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure effective management of environmental risks across programmes.
