Role Overview

•             Job Title: UPS Service Sales Account Manager

•             Employment Type: Full-time

•             Location: Field/Hybrid (covering Southwest UK & Midlands region)

 

Key Responsibilities

•             Contract Sales: Proactively sell preventative maintenance (PPM) contracts, 24/7 emergency response packages, and extended warranties to new and existing customers

•             Lead Generation: Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities, including battery replacements and capacitor overhauls, generated from field service reports

•             Proposal Development: Prepare commercial proposals, negotiate pricing, and close sales while ensuring target Gross Profit (GP) and Operating Profit (OP) margins are achieved

•             Technical Consultation: Provide budgetary advice and lifecycle planning to clients, helping them mitigate risks of power disruptions

•             Account Management: Maintain strong relationships with facility managers and procurement teams, managing renewals and addressing customer concerns

•             Market Awareness: Monitor UK market dynamics and competitor offerings to identify new business opportunities in critical power sectors

 

Qualifications & Requirements

•             Experience: Minimum \(2+\) years of service sales experience OR \(5+\) years of hands-on field engineering experience with critical power equipment (UPS, batteries, or Data Centre)

•             Technical Knowledge: Strong commercial understanding of business-critical electrical infrastructure, including 3-phase and 1-phase UPS systems

•             Education: HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering is highly desirable

•             Skills: Commercial acumen, excellent negotiation abilities, and strong financial/budget management capability

•             Compliance: Strong awareness of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, as well as adherence to standard business ethics and trade regulations

•             Requirements: Valid UK Driving Licence, computer literacy, and self-motivation

 

Bonus: 25% of annual salary for achieving 100% of target (paid annually)

Holiday Allocation: 25 days plus 8 Bank Holidays (increasing by one day after 3, 6, 9, and 12 years)
