Join ILIOS, the construction partner for the UK's STEP fusion programme. As an Assistant Project Controls Engineer, you will support project controls, cost management, and document control services. This permanent position is based at West Burton Power Station in Nottinghamshire, with a hybrid work pattern of three days on-site per week.

Qualifications, experience and skills:

  • Experience in a project controls, project support, PMO, cost control, or project administration role within a project-based environment.
  • Understanding of project controls principles, including cost management, reporting, change control, and performance measurement.
  • Experience preparing reports, maintaining project data, and supporting project governance activities.
  • Knowledge of document control processes and experience using document management systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other project reporting tools, with strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a project delivery team.

Key responsibilities

  • Producing and maintaining project performance reports, dashboards, and management information to support project governance.
  • Supporting cost management activities including budget tracking, expenditure reporting, forecasting, and change control administration.
  • Administering and maintaining project documentation, ensuring records are controlled, accurate, auditable, and compliant with organizational procedures.
