  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body (ICE, GeolSoc) and a valid CSCS card is a plus.
  • The role requires some experience and practical technical/engineering knowledge of ground engineering processes.
  • A customer-centric mindset with a flexible and innovative approach.
  • Strategic and creative thinking to identify opportunities and challenge conventional methods.
  • Strong attention to detail and the confidence to advise senior management when necessary.
  • Willingness to gain hands-on experience on-site as part of training and development.
  • The individual should have a desire to continuously pursue innovation and development, with a focus on the customer and the ground engineering business.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are necessary. Knowledge of AutoCAD would be advantageous.
  • Full UK Driving Licence is required. 

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the bid process, ensuring timely and effective delivery of tender submissions, and manage the preparation of tender price schedules.
  • Review tender documentation and prepare preliminary ground improvement designs and supporting documents during the pre-construction phase.
  • Maintain effective communication with external stakeholders, respond to post-tender queries, and lead customer meetings and the presentation of tender proposals.
