Required Experience

Proven experience in a radiation protection role is essential.
Experience interfacing with personnel and other technical disciplines is desirable.
 

Qualifications for the Radiation Protection Advisor

·       RPA2000 Certified Radiation Protection Adviser is essential.

·       Previous expeirence in the provision of radiation protection advice

·       Ability to mentor trainees as and when required

·       Science related degree or equivalent experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as a technical expert for Radiation Protection, providing advice and ensuring compliance with legislation.
  • Evaluate operating environments and tailor health physics services to develop appropriate safe systems of work.
  • Mentor trainee Radiation Protection Advisors and lead the technical delivery of other Radiation Protection personnel.
