As a Quality Engineer, you will support the Quality Management Lead in ensuring project quality requirements are met throughout the HPC project lifecycle. You will implement key quality arrangements, assist with manufacturing surveillance and inspections, manage non-conformance reports, and support quality reporting and metrics. Essential
- Position requires experience in project delivery, preferably in the nuclear power sector, with significant focus on project quality, with a solid understanding of the Quality Assurance and Quality Control in major projects across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction and commissioning.
- Industry & Project Experience: Proven experience working on HPC and strong understanding of quality assurance, compliance, and governance in Nuclear industry.
- Experience of interfacing with project teams and with supply chain organisations.
- Analysis of data, preparing reports and making recommendations.
- Pro-active and flexible, being prepared to plan and work on own initiative.
- Native‑level English speaker (spoken and written).
- Experience & Seniority: Highly experienced Quality Engineer, operating at a senior level with capability and ambition to progress into a Quality Manager Lead role.
Desirable
- Knowledge of the nuclear sector, ideally new build.
- Knowledge & understanding of nuclear site license conditions.
- Ability to speak French is advantageous.
- Knowledge of pressure and nuclear codes
- Knowledge of Welding, Non Destructive Testing (NDT), Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE)
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- A HNC/HND qualification or degree in a relevant science or engineering subject, or equivalent qualification.
- Proven track record of delivering results
Desirable
- Proven experience of interaction and resolving issues with a wide range of stakeholders in a multi-cultural environment.
- Broad experience of implementing a variety of quality related solutions
- Hold a professional accreditation
- Corporate Member or working towards membership of the Chartered Quality Institute & Chartered Quality Professional
- Knowledge of Improvement Methodologies, Tools & Techniques eg. Lean 6 Sigma
Key responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of quality arrangements for deployment across the HPC organization, including assisting with PQCPs and CQAPs.
- Provide implementation and monitoring support for key quality arrangements related to manufacturing surveillance, inspections, NCR management, and quality reporting.
- Collaborate with project teams and supply chain organizations to ensure project quality requirements are met across the full HPC project lifecycle.
