ABOUT THE ROLE:

With Sessions currently gearing up for Series B funding and preparing to launch into international markets, we are entering a high-velocity era of expansion. We aren’t looking for someone to join once the engine is already at full throttle; we want to bring you on board now so you can deeply embed yourself in our culture and processes before the storm.

Initially, your primary focus (roughly 70-80%) will be Talent Acquisition . We need to find the best people, and we need your expertise to do it. The remaining 20-30% will be spent supporting the Head of People on foundational HR projects and tasks.

As we grow and our hiring pace stabilises, your role will evolve. We are looking for someone who wants to eventually transition into a well-rounded People Partner , managing employee relations, performance cycles, and culture initiatives amongst other topics.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Talent Acquisition

  • End-to-End Ownership: Manage the full lifecycle of recruitment across various departments (Tech, Sales, Ops, etc.).

  • Sourcing Strategy: Proactively hunt for passive talent and build a diverse pipeline - no "post and pray" mentalities here.

  • Candidate Experience: Ensure every applicant has a world-class experience, regardless of the outcome.

  • Employer Branding: Help us tell our story through LinkedIn, careers pages, and networking events.

    2. People Operations

  • Onboarding: Partner with the Head of People to refine a seamless transition from "Candidate" to "Team Member."

  • Learning & Development: Help identify skill gaps and coordinate and where appropriate, host training initiatives and courses to ensure our team grows as fast as the company does.

  • Diversity & Inclusion: Assist on various D & I initiatives including work on hiring processes and supporting our employees with disabilities and adjustments.

  • Performance Management: Support the processes surrounding performance cycles, and goal-setting frameworks (OKRs).

  • Employee Relations: With guidance from the Head of People - manage the more junior but varied HR processes including disciplinaries, grievances, and conflict resolution with empathy and compliance.

  • IT & Systems: In absence of an IT department, assist with answering queries or setting up tech for our teams.

  • Health & Safety: Ensure we are providing a safe, compliant, and healthy work environment (physical or remote) as our headcount expands.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • The Recruiter-Generalist: You have 2 years of experience in high-volume or startup recruitment. You’re comfortable on the phone and happy to reach out to people proactively on Linkedin.

  • Series B Mindset: You are comfortable with ambiguity and excited by the challenge of building processes from scratch before the company doubles in size.

  • Process-Driven: You enjoy the "unsexy" but vital parts of HR - systems, compliance, and documentation - knowing they are the backbone of a successful scale-up. Organisation is EVERYTHING.

  • Resilient & Empathetic: You can navigate difficult conversations (grievances/disciplinaries) with a level head and a human-first approach.

  • Charismatic and energetic with a passion for food
