Join Speechify as a Senior Software Engineer on our Core Experiences Team. In this role, you will build and maintain foundational services and SDKs that power our product experience across platforms. You will collaborate with product teams, optimize existing functionality, and ship cloud functions and lightweight backend services using Kotlin. This is a critical role for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of product and infrastructure, thinks strategically, and is passionate about designing clear, reliable APIs and simple systems that enhance the user experience. Prior experience with GCP is a plus.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product teams to scope projects, reduce scope for faster feedback, and deliver solutions via cross-platform SDK.
  • Optimize existing functionality, design more efficient abstractions, and improve algorithms for faster loading and more intelligent parsing.
  • Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin, while ensuring clear, reliable APIs and simple systems.
