Purpose of the job
To lead decommissioning teams to safely undertake plant operations, decommissioning and dismantling of nuclear facilities, plant and equipment in accordance with approved documentation, within the boundaries and restrictions of Nuclear/Construction Sites and in direct support of specific projects.
Key Accountabilities
Resource Management
Decontamination: Deployment and supervision of site operatives
Dismantling: To decontaminate plant, equipment and facilities
Care & Maintenance: To dismantle and size reduce plant and equipment
Waste Processing: To undertake plant checks, routine maintenance of facilities and housekeeping
Environment: Preparation of work areas, materials and equipment
Plant Operations:To operate process plant and materials handling equipment in support of site activities
Key responsibilities
- Lead decommissioning teams to safely undertake plant operations, decommissioning, and dismantling of nuclear facilities.
- Supervise site operatives in the deployment and execution of decontamination, dismantling, and waste processing activities.
- Ensure compliance with approved documentation, safety regulations, and industry standards while managing resources effectively.
