Essential
· Classified radiation worker
· Basic radiological awareness training
· Practical knowledge and experience of radiological conditions and contamination assessments
· Practical knowledge and experience of PPE, RPE and radiological monitoring systems
· Practical knowledge and experience of lifting/slinging operations
· Practical knowledge and experience of erection, operation and dismantling of temporary structures
· Good understanding of tooling and equipment and their safe application in the workplace
· Reasonable level of intelligence and education, CSE/GCSE or equivalent, with some knowledge of technical terms and commercial arithmetic with basic keyboard skills
· Ability to work to written procedures in order to minimise risks to persons, property and environment
· Ability to communicate and work effectively within a team
· Excellent health, safety and environment awareness for industrial working
· A flexible attitude to work, capability and willingness of being trained to undertake a wide range of duties including the use of standard and specialist decommissioning tooling
· Up to 1 years’ previous experience working in an industrial and/or project environment
· Physical fitness and manual dexterity
Desirable:
· A general engineering, craft or building background and / or knowledge gained through experience and on the job training
· NVQ Level 2 (minimum or working towards)
· Relevant CSCS card discipline for construction sites
· Relevant CPCS or NPORS cards for the operation of plant and equipment
· IPAF and PASMA training
· Relevant security clearance for Nuclear Licensed sites
· Full UK driving license

Key responsibilities
- Decontamination of plant, equipment, and facilities, dismantling and size reduction of plant and equipment.
- Undertaking plant checks, routine maintenance of facilities, and housekeeping.
- Controlling, minimizing, and processing radioactive waste to client requirements.
